Chinese Auspicious Dragon Wall Scroll Painting

A large traditional style wall scroll featuring a painting of the Chinese totem-dragon.

Dragon which is called Long in Chinese was fabricated by the ancient Chinese people. It’s body is like the one of snake’s, it’s claw is like the one of eagle’s, it’s scales are like the ones of fish’s and the horns are like the ones of the deers’.

It’s a symbolization of auspiciousness in every way. The four Chinese characters inscribed on the painting are spoken as Qing Long Xian Rui which means the dragon brings auspicious signs such as colorful clouds, timely wind and rain.

Paintings with dragons on them are widely welcomed because of it’s symbolization of lucky propitious and auspicious.
