This is a very nice beginners Chinese calligraphy set including everything you need to start painting Chinese calligraphy. This calligraphy set includes four brushes, ink stone, ink stick, a porcelain water dish, spoon shaped mixer, a seal also known as a chop, porcelain brush rest and a porcelain container of red seal ink. The brocade box measures approximately 8 x 6 inches. You will need to have your seal carved to seal your artworks. You may purchase a set which includes a seal carved with your name, however there will be a delay in shipping of up to one week while we have the seal carved for you by a professional. If you would like to have your seal carved at a later date you may be able to do it yourself, but you will need a lot of patience, a good translation of your name and/or a good book on seal carving. These calligraphy sets come come in beautiful gift boxes so the make excellent gifts, in fact they look so nice I have even seen them used to decorate a home.
